Budweiser Beer Sponsored Golf Tournament

This is just one of the dozens of golf tournaments that I was working on during my time as the downtown Vancouver sales representative for Anheuser-Busch. I also worked on these types of golf tournaments extensively when I was a brand ambassador for Smirnoff and Okanagan Springs brewery. The way that these types of golf tournaments would work is you would have a different alcohol sponsor or sponsor at every different stop along the golf course and participants usually charity events would do this very fun very rowdy round of golf with a drink at each stop and they would usually be some form of a charity gala or fundraiser afterwards. Our level of involvement was typically supplying Brandon ambassadors to actually staff the hole and be the ones distributing the drinks and providing the tent set ups and you know the serving dishes whether it’s beer, buckets or coolers sometimes it would be giving away branded merchandise and then often contributing the budget as well. These were not primarily volume plays. This was usually done for relationship building with the venues as golf courses are particularly high value listings for the type of products that we are selling at AV, but particularly for Beer and RTD.
