Patron Tulum Brand Event
The theme for this event was an evening in Tulum, and it was put on by Patron. This was an experiential marketing brand activation that had toured to a couple of different venues across Canada. Beautiful set up with some wonderful set pieces such as this lovely patron bottle shaped cabana. The most bizarre thing was the location in which this was held. They recreated tulum in a parking lot in the slightly sketchy part of town, where 300 feet away from the activation there was an actual, authentic beach. It can be really difficult when planning activations like if you don’t live in the city where you are activating, but situations like these really drive home while it’s important to have decision makers with firsthand knowledge of the venues they’re deciding to use. No brand spends all of this money on an activation to want to wind up the butt of jokes about foolish socialites paying to visit a fake beach in a parking lot instead of going to the real one in their backyard.
